Privacy notice

Lisa, trading as Lisa’s Hair & Beauty, is responsible for the personal information she receives about you. This notice explains what she uses it for, how it is handled and the choices you have. For a privacy request or question, use the contact form or call 07827 728008.

Information Lisa uses

• Appointment enquiries: your name, email address, phone number if provided, postcode, requested service and message. Lisa uses these details to answer your questions, check whether she can help, agree an appointment and provide the service. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and, if you book, performing that contract.
• Earlier appointment requests: if you tick the optional cancellation-list box, Lisa will also use your contact details to tell you when an earlier appointment may be available. You can ask her to stop at any time.
• Care-home arrangements: Lisa may use the contact and appointment details needed to coordinate a visit with a care home or its chosen contact. Please only share information about a resident when you are authorised to do so, and keep it to what is needed to arrange the appointment.
• Reviews: Lisa receives the name you enter, your optional area and email address, your rating and review. Your submission is sent through Formspree to Lisa’s email inbox so she can read it. A review is published only after Lisa has checked it and confirmed that it can be shared under the permission you give on the form. Your email address is not displayed. You can withdraw permission to publish a review by contacting Lisa.
• Website operation: the website host may process technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the site. This is based on the legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. If “Remember my choice on this device” is switched on, the colour theme you choose is saved in your browser’s local storage so it can be remembered across pages and visits. You can switch off this preference in the Colours menu; see Cookies & browser storage for details.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in a message unless it is needed to discuss an appointment. Lisa does not use enquiry details to send marketing messages.

What happens when you use a form

Appointment enquiries are submitted through Formspree, which processes the form details and delivers them to the designated enquiry inbox. Review submissions are also processed through Formspree and delivered to the designated review inbox so Lisa can read them and decide whether they can be published. Approved reviews may be added to the website separately. The name, optional area, rating and review may appear on the website after review; your optional email address stays private. The site does not use advertising or analytics trackers.

If you follow a link to Google or another external service, that service handles your information under its own privacy notice. The website’s share control uses your browser’s share or copy-link feature only when you choose it.

How long information is kept

• Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are kept for up to 12 months after the last contact, then deleted unless a dispute or other ongoing matter means they are still needed.
• Appointment and client records are kept while needed to provide the service and for up to two years after the last appointment. Relevant invoices and accounting records are kept for the period required by law.
• Review requests that are not published are deleted within 12 months. A published review is removed if you withdraw permission, or when it is no longer relevant.
• Website security logs are handled by the hosting provider under its own retention schedule, for site delivery and security.

Lisa will review these periods and securely delete information when it is no longer needed, except where the law or an ongoing matter requires it to be kept longer.

Who information is shared with

Lisa does not sell your personal information. She shares it only where needed with providers that host the website, process its forms or provide email, and with a care home or its agreed contact when coordinating an appointment. Accounting or payment providers may receive relevant details when they are needed to manage a real appointment or payment; this website does not take payments. Providers handle information under their own privacy and security terms. If information is processed outside the UK, Lisa will use a transfer mechanism permitted by data protection law.

Your privacy rights

You can ask Lisa to provide a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it or restrict how it is used. Depending on the circumstances, you may also object to processing or request a portable copy. These rights have conditions and may be limited where Lisa has a legal reason to keep or use information. You can withdraw consent to publish a review at any time; this does not affect publication that took place before withdrawal.
